Shinhwa's Kim Dongwan released his new solo album '...LER' on the 21st, with songs that contain lyrics relating to depression in Korean society and loneliness.
Dongwan had uploaded a lengthy post on his Instagram not long after Sulli had past away, with him pointing out and criticizing certain ways in how Idols are looked after, trained and promoted.
It is a subject he always finds time to mention, and is very outspoken in the matter as he himself has faced the Idol world for many years.
Lyrics from Dongwan's new song 'Red shoes', which was self composed.
"I walked for a while
Then my footprints grew red
The scars that have grown
All over my body
They’re beautiful, beautiful
In my clenched fists
Is this loneliness that I can’t hide
I’m spreading my crushed wings
To the sky
I’m spreading the ruined map inside
And fly
Woo woo
Flying to the sky
Flying to the sun
Woo woo
Flying through the darkness
Flying to find myself
The sad pain
Will remain as a red scar
My aching heart
Will wither away tomorrow
But it’s alright
Even if I’ve lost my scent
And I can’t blossom again
I’m spreading my crushed wings
To the sky
I’m spreading the ruined map inside
And fly
Woo woo
Flying to the sky
Flying to the sun
Woo woo
Flying through the darkness
Flying to find myself"
A simple MV, with a big message.
Respect!! Waiting for a group comeback of the legends.
