JYP Entertainment announces that TWICE's Dahyun will not be participating in Pocari Sweat Challenge Teen Festa 2019 which will be held today to give way for her recovery.
The specific details of her health concern was not stated but coming back from their schedule in Japan last weekend, Dahyun was seen at the airport looking unwell.
Meanwhile, fans post their growing concern on the group as two of the members have already taken the back seat to focus on resting and recuperating.
I just hope there is no schedule for them after this event till TWICELIGHTS in SG... at least they will get a good 4-5 days of rest (apart from practice)
It's heartbreaking seeing the girls get sick one by one. Despite the long break they had, the frequent traveling, change in weather in diff countries they go to & probably rehearsals for their World Tour are taking a toll on their health. 💔
Dubu rest really well so you can go back on stage happy. It's better you rest a lot than force yourself to perform for everyone when you're not 100% TT

Yes, it's not fun to watch, but it's actually less surprising than if they didn't get sick one by one. I've always wondered how groups stay healthy when one member gets sick. As contagious as common colds are, shouldn't a whole group of idols fall sick right about the same time since they spend so much time together? I've never read an article about an idol group pulling out of a concert because half of them are sick. Shouldn't whole groups getting sick at the same time be somewhat common? I've never heard of it, though. And when one member gets sick, isn't that an "oh shit" moment for the company because it immediately knows that within the next week the rest of the group will fall sick too?
I have to say that I've often thought about how weird it is that when idols are unwell, it's pretty much always just one member at a time. How come we never hear news that for example seven of twelve members of LOONA are at bed rest at their dorm because all of them are puking their guts out? Usually the news just say that one idol group member looked sick on stage, or was confirmed to have had a fever while performing, fans wish her a speedy recovery, and then a few days later it's announced that she's back in business, with the rest of the group seemingly unaffected. How's that possible?
