The staff member who set up hidden cameras at the private rooms of Shin Se Kyung and Yoon Bomi on the show "Food Cart Without Borders" has been sentenced to 3 years of probation.
On July 10, at the sentencing hearing, Judge Kwon Young Hye of Criminal Unit 14 under the Seoul Southern District Court sentenced Mr. Kim (30) - the subject who was prosecuted without custody for the alleged violation of the Special Act on Punishment of Sexual Crime (filming by using camera) and intrusion - 1 year and 6 months in prison and three years' probation.
The jury pointed out, "The nature of the crime is not good when we consider the motives, contents, means and methods of the crime by installing cameras in the accommodation - where the personal privacy should be most respected. The defendant must bear a heavy responsibility for taking advantage of his position in the filming team in a special environment of overseas filming sites to commit illegal acts."
The jury also explained the context to give the punishment, "We have considered the following points that the defendant admitted the crime right from the investigation stage and is reviewing himself, he has no criminal record, the cameras were confiscated, and no additional damage occurred such as the videos being spread outside, etc."
Kim - who used to be an employee in charge of camera equipment - is being suspected of installing filming device disguised as a portable charger at the private rooms of Yoon Bomi (Apink) and actress Shin Se Kyung - the two who were in the filming process of the variety show "Food Cart Without Borders" (Olive) overseas. At that time, the "Food Cart Without Borders" (Olive) side said, "According to the videotape checking result, we confirmed that there was no problematic content and immediately returned to the country after confiscating the device." Mr. Kim was also investigated into whether or not he had planned to commit the crime beforehand. Kim acknowledged all charges in the trial process and pleaded for leniency.

Probation? Now I see why Korea has so many hidden camera problems. Since they are not punishing the criminals, they just keep doing what they are doing.
Edit: Why would you leave out the prison sentence from the title? Clickbait too much?
I still think he should get at least 3 years in prison.
