Kim Ui Seong protects Sana in the midst of boycott movement
Regarding the boycott movement of Japanese products, actor Kim Ui Seong is becoming the focus of attention when saying, "Leave Sana (Twice) alone."
On July 5, Kim Ui Seong published an article on his personal SNS, saying, "You are angry with Abe but why would you want to kick Sana out? You must expel Japanese native invaders." Next, he left a comment, "Leave Sana alone, anyway."
Recently, when the Supreme Court of the Republic of Korea ruled to ask for compensation for the incident of the Korean people being drafted into military service in the past, the Japanese government made moves of economic retaliation by strengthening export restrictions for Korea. Shortly thereafter, the Korean public quickly triggered movements such as restricting travel to Japan and boycotting their goods, etc.
A part of Koreans began to give extreme opinions saying "Artists of Japanese nationality should retire". Among the artists becoming the criticized subjects, there are Japanese members in the group Twice, including Sana, Mina, and Momo.
As soon as Kim Ui Seong's SNS became a hot topic, netizens' controversies revolving around this issue are still ongoing.
Besides, on July 4, parliamentarian Ha Tae Kyung of Bareunmirae Party uploaded a post on SNS with the content, "The rise of the movement to drive away Japanese nationals in groups like Twice and IZone is not useful for the Republic of Korea but only does harm to the country. If we turn all Japanese artists who are having intimate activities in the country and are likely to stand on the side of Korea into our enemy, how can we win?"

Thank you Kim Ui Seong for that statement. It is not Sana fault for what happened between Japan and Korea.
