On June 24, 2019, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) updated their certification database, showing that BTS' 2019 single "Boy with Luv" has officially become platinum certified. The group earned their first gold certification in February 2018 for "Mic Drop", which later became the group's first platinum record. The group also reached 4 million total units moved in the United States.
