IU has donated 100 million Won to children in need.
In commemoration of Children's Day on May 5, IU donated 100 million Won ($85,459 USD) to Child Fund Korea (Green Umbrella Children's Foundation). The funds will go to helping children with single parents, children growing up with elderly grandparents, and other children in tough situations.
Child Fund Korea stated, "In May, neglected children may feel a greater lack. With the good influence of IU who consistently gives interest to children and donates without others knowing, we hope that this Children's Day will be a happy one for children in need."
