14U are rumored to have disbanded due to their label BGent's favoritism of certain members.

On May 10, reports revealed 13 out of 14 members of 14U ended their exclusive contracts with BGent after their concerts in Japan concluded this past April. Following promotional activities for their latest release "N.E.W.S", 14U held 20 performances across Japan, pulling in around 6000 fans. Though the group was scheduled to perform at the upcoming event 'KCON 2019 Japan', a 'KCON' rep confirmed 14U withdrew from the lineup due to "artist circumstances."

According to reports, the members who terminated their contracts have already left the dorm and are going their separate ways. An insider explained, "The members who left are apologetic to fans for the hurt this causes, so they have not been able to speak up. However, they'll be sharing updates on social media while on vacation."

Rumors also say the members terminated their contracts because the agency was showing favoritism, which caused conflict among the members. BGent has denied the allegations and stated the members planned to leave together.
