Soyu talked about her childhood.
She was one of the guests on the 'Knowing Brothers' that aired on April 27th. She said, "My older sister is 4 years older than me, and my older brother is 8 years older than me, so when I was younger, no one played with me. I went around Jeju Island by myself and talked to people I didn't know. Because of that, I became close to the neighborhood oppas (that turned out to be just street thugs). The five of them said they would take me home because it was dangerous, and my parents were shocked to see them at the jewelry store."
She also confessed "When I was younger, I didn't really know about money. On birthdays, people came over and ate, and when they were leaving, I gave them jewelry as presents. The problem is, some people realized I was just a child who didn't understand so they gave it back, but my parents said some of them just took it."

Ironic that she once wasn't very wise to money as now she is well known for being the best with saving her money when she was in Sistar and always picking up extra work at Starship singing backing vocals on others tracks or doing guide singing for composers.
