SM Entertainment has denied rumors EXO will be collaborating with controversial furniture company Hanssem Effex.

On April 23, reports stated EXO and Hanssem Effect would be working on a furniture collaboration with the controversial company, which previously made headlines when a woman was sexually assaulted by a higher-up at the company. Though she reported the incident to the police and met with Hanssem Effex's human resources, she was forced to change her statement and told to keep quiet. The victim also claimed the human resources official attempted to sexually assault her. Since then, consumers have taken issue with the company for not handling the situation correctly.

Since the rumors of the EXO-Hanssem Effect collaboration hit headlines, the hashtag "Hanssem boycott. Cancel collaboration, SM," has been circulating on Twitter.

SM Entertainment has since stated, "We have not signed a contract with Hanssem Effex and have no plans to do so in the future."
