BlackPink has returned with their new title track “Kill This Love”.
The K-Pop girl group have reached several #1 on iTunes across the world and is currently #2 on Trending for their eye-popping music video.
Despite these records however, BlackPink has shown to lack any presence in Korean music charts such as Melon or Genie. The girl group appear #1 for RealTime search but fail to have their own title track appear in the Top 100.
BlackPink’s return has been a long awaited comeback, so it comes to surprise that their song doesn’t appear on Korean music charts. Did the YG Burning Sun scandal ruin BlackPink’s chance to chart or did other factors occur to affect this? Why do you think this may have occurred?
wanna know why? they released it at 12am KST, there was a new rule made last year that prevents songs from showing up on the charts until the next day if they werent released between 12pm and 6 pm. It will show up tomorrow. i didnt like the comeback but this is ridiculous. most groups have been releasing music at 6pm now so idky they released it at 12am when it wouldnt show up on the charts, but its nothing to make an article about
