Police will be issuing an arrest warrant for Jung JoonYoung today.
His investigations so far had not involved any arrests but summons. However, they have decided to issue the arrest warrant today. It has been 6 days since he was booked for filming and distributing hidden camera recordings on the 12th, and 4 days since he returned to Korea on the 14th. He went through his first round of investigations on the 14th for 21 hours, and had an additional round on the 17th for 5 hours starting at 11PM KST. There are reported to be over 10 victims.
There are currently no arrest warrants in plan for Seungri, who will be submitting a formal request of enlistment delay today.
All right, here we go! I know some people are wondering why they haven't been submitting arrest warrants yet, but we have to remember that there are some key players who have SEVERAL tendrils throughout this entire investigation. Seungri is one such person, so it will probably be a bit longer before an official warrant for his arrest is submitted for a couple of reasons. One, they want to make sure they catch him on everything, and considering how deeply muddled his actions and connections are, they have to make sure they have the most solid case against him. Furthermore, if he is willing (for once) to give them further information on subjects which may not be available to the public in order to find other culprits in this investigation, it could shave off a bit of excess for him. Don't get me wrong, the man is done, but when it comes to scandals that run this deep, at this point lawyers are trying to figure out the best and worst case scenarios, as well as test the waters to see what (if anything) the prosecution would be willing to give in exchange for honest (if he's capable of doing so) testimony.
