On March 15, Plan A Entertainment released an official statement after fans spotted VICTON members Byungchan and Seungwoo participating in the "center boy" selection of 'Produce X 101'.
The label stated, "Our label group VICTON's Han Seungwoo and Choi Byungchan will ultimately participate in 'Produce X 101'. We apologize to ALICE who were concerned seeing the numerous rumor articles, and ask for your understanding in that we were not able to notify you sooner, due to the program's regulations. Please send your warm encouragements and cheers toward VICTON and their decision after a long debate, and also continue to give your attention to members Seungsik, Heochan, Sejun, Hanse, and Subin who will remain at the company in order to cheer their members on."
Plan A Entertainment also revealed to news outlets that the decision for Seungwoo and Byungchan to participate in the Mnet idol survival show was reached after a discussion between the VICTION members and the company.

Please, they knew exactly what they were doing and are more than likely hoping for a similar outcome for VICTON that Nu'est had. At least be transparent about it.
