JYPE forwards evidence of false rumors linking label artists to the Jung Joon Young controversy to criminal prosecution

AKP STAFF

On March 14, JYP Entertainment issued a statement to notify that they have forwarded evidence of netizens spreading false rumors online to criminal prosecution for investigation.

The update comes only a day after the label's stern warning, demanding that malicious commenters stop spreading rumors linking JYP label artists to the Jung Joon Young controversy.

JYPE informed, "In approximately one day, we took action in order to find the culprits who initially began the false rumors involving our artists, and after acquiring a significant amount of evidence through research as well as fans' reports, we forwarded the files to criminal prosecution as of March 13. In the case that the evidence provides proof of false rumors spread with malicious intent, and in any additional cases found, we plan to press charges and submit a civil lawsuit."
