One of the victims from Jung Joon Young's illegal sex tape distribution talked about his initial responses. 

According to an interview conducted by Kang Kyung Yoon, the initial reporter who covered the story of Seungri, a victim had "begged" the singer to delete the videos before the matter was taken to legal authorities. 

During the beginning stages of his illegal activities, the victim had tried to reason with Jung Joon Young by asking him to stop. However, given the fact that he knew of the victim's need to keep her identity hidden, Jung Joon Young allegedly responded "casually" and went ahead to do the opposite -- he had attempted to retrieve some already-deleted footage from his friends.

The conversation relayed by the victim reveals, "Jung Joon Young talked about the videos and playfully said that he succeeded in 'getting them back' (by using game-related terminology)." She opened up by saying, "wouldn't a normal person with a conscience stop there and refrain from doing more of such deeds? But, Jung Joon Young had asked his friend for the video saying, 'she deleted the video and left'."

Jung Joon Young's treatment of such situations as "nothing more than a game" is drawing sharp criticism from many netizens.
