An iPhone exploded but 'Apple Korea' is not providing any explanations.
According to a JTBC report, back on February 20, an iPhone belonging to a 13-year-old student suddenly exploded at his elementary school in Gimhae.
The student's teacher, Kim Yu Gyeom, explained, "The student told me, 'My phone is hot.' It was seriously too hot so I thought something was wrong. I put the phone down and evacuated the kids."
Moments later, the device started smoking and ultimately exploded. There were no injuries from the explosion.
The parents of the student reported the issue to 'Apple Korea.' They failed to receive a response until the issue started receiving media attention. Finally after 2 weeks, 'Apple Korea' offered a new device. However, they avoided providing an explanation for the explosion.
