Jung Joon Young was insincere with his past apology, according to an insider.
Back in 2016, Jung Joon Young stirred up controversy when an ex-girlfriend claimed she was sexually assaulted by him. In response, the singer admitted to filming their sexual activities but claimed it was consensual.
Jung Joon Young halted all activities due to the issue, but months later, he resumed promotions. The comeback kicked off with a press conference, where Jung Joon Young read a letter of apology.
On March 12, an insider reported to Dispatch that Jung Joon Young was actually never sorry. The insider stated, "On the way to the press conference, Jung Joon Young said, 'I'll just pretend to be sorry.' (Hidden camera) filming was just a joke to him. It was like a habit."
Meanwhile, Jung Joon Young has ultimately admitted to all crimes regarding the hidden camera messages in an official apology.
