In light of their brand new subunit debut, GOT7's JUS2 held a press interview and answered various questions about fellow JYP Entertainment labelmates, other K-Pop artists, as well as their very own team.
Particularly, the JUS2 members were asked to comment on JYP Entertainment's nickname as "Home of top girl group" like Wonder Girls, miss A, and TWICE. JB honestly answered, "I have mixed feelings when hearing it. We are also working hard, so I think to hear that JYP is 'Home of top girl groups' is can be disappointing in our shoes. But it's also up to the male artists in our company to overcome that, right? Not to beat out the female artists necessarily, but to grow ourselves so that the company can also become 'Home to top boy groups'."
Next, Yugyeom gave his thoughts on how GOT7 have managed to avoid trouble or "scandals" in the past 5 years. "I think our members are nice guys, and they're also kind of scaredy cats. More seriously, I think we try to be careful because if someone makes a mistake, it's not just my own mistake, but the entire team's, and we all suffer."
Finally, JB shared some advice with his hoobae idol groups on how to be "model idols". He said, "In our team, we have members from other countries plus members with various personalities, so we fought in the beginning. When faced with these issues, we tried our best to talk it out. The longer you stay together, the more you get to know one another and so you learn how to respect one another better. We often remind ourselves that even when we are promoting solo, it's 'Only possible because there is GOT7'. You have to love yourself, but remember that your team is just as important."
It’s sad that they have to hear that people call JYPE that when they also work hard. I wonder why jyp boy groups don’t do as well when they’re from a big company?
