YG issues update regarding malicious rumor investigations, female netizen in her 20's indicted by police

On February 12, YG Entertainment issued an update regarding the its ongoing legal procedures against malicious netizens who spread false content and rumors online. 


According to YG, a female netizen in her early 20's was recently indicted by the police as the first original spreader of false rumors. She will be forwarded to prosecution for trial. 

Police investigation revolving around this netizen continues, as the netizen named other individuals who worked with her in spreading the malicious rumors. The police are currently searching for additional evidence involving the mentioned individuals. 

Currently, a total of 6 criminal cases submitted by YG Entertainment's legal procedure department are in the process of investigation, waiting for investigation, or have wrapped up investigations recently. The label will continue to take strict legal action against any malicious internet activity.
