On February 13, the Gangneung Police Station indicted a woman identified as Lee for animal abuse.
On February 9, Lee purchased a 3-month Maltese at a pet shop in Gangneung. 7 hours later, she came back to the pet shop for a refund, claiming the puppy is ill because it was eating its own waste. Angered by the owner's refusal of her refund request, Lee threw the 3-month Maltese across the counter. The puppy ultimately died around 2:30 am the next day.
In the police investigation, Lee stated, "I threw the Maltese towards the owner's chest. I expected him to automatically catch the puppy."
Lee will be forwarded to prosecution for animal abuse.
According to the animal protection law, a person who has caused a death of an animal can be given a maximum of 2 years of penal servitude or a fine of 20 million KRW (17,746 USD).
"I threw the Maltese towards the owner's chest. I expected him to automatically catch the puppy." its like she is talking about a ball or a game ...she is just trying to find excuses , did she feel really sorry or guilty about what she did?? i dont think so.. her answer is clear and people who just search for excuses instead of accepting that they have to take responsability for what they did it speaks a lot about how horrible they are.
i know it will not happen but i hope she get jail time
