Baz Luhrmann, the famous director behind 'Romeo + Juliet', 'Moulin Rouge!', 'The Great Gatsby', and more, expressed admiration for BTS in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
While talking about his upcoming plans, Buz Luhrmann praised K-pop, specifically BTS. He said, "It's remarkable the way K-pop has found a way — when you see BTS play Citi Field, that's a stadium. And not everyone is a Korean expert, only about a quarter of the audience, so that means that K-pop is able to speak to an audience with various backgrounds. So I really admire what they achieve."
When asked if he plans to work with the global K-pop group, Baz Luhrmann didn't give an exact answer but gave a positive outlook with a smile, a playful shrug, and the statement, "Yeah, well you know, that's..."
This is not the first time Baz Luhrmann expressed interest in BTS. Back in October, the director visited BTS at their historic concert at Citi Field and excited fans with the tweet, "Looking forward to our catch up in Seoul later this year..."
Stop teasing us Baz! Make this happen!!
