BTS' j-hope opened up about why he's hesitant about collaborations.
On January 28, j-hope went on Naver's V Live for 'BTS Live: Hope World.' During the live broadcast, j-hope talked abouthis new studio, SUGA's featuring on Lee So Ra's "Song Request," and more.
He commented, "I've also thought about collaborating but I feel like I haven't proved myself yet. I thought releasing a mixtape will define my name but it was actually not like that. But if there is a good opportunity, I want to create various productions and work with amazing artists. But I think there is also a bit of fear."
j-hope explained, "I'm the case where I went from dancing to producing. I feel like my depth in producing is lacking so I tend to avoid it. I just feel like I'm not good enough yet. I can do a collaboration if I have to but I feel like I'm not ready and I'm afraid of that feeling of not being ready."
j-hope added his members' production's motivated him. He said, "I think I get motivated every time a member releases an amazing song. In interviews, I always get asked about my rivals. I think my true rivals and good competitors are my members." He expressed affection for his members, saying, "I'm so lucky to have them."
He's so down to earth. I really admire that about him.
