Soldiers can now use cell phones in the military.
According to the Ministry of National Defense on January 17, all military bases of the army, navy, air force, and marines will be permitted cell phone usage after training hours starting in April.
The cell phone ban will be permanently lifted in July after a 3-month trial.
Soldiers will be able to use cell phones from 6 pm to 10 pm on weekdays, and 7 am to 10 pm on the weekends. Cell phones are permitted in all premises, except for high-security areas. Cell phone camera usage will be restrained.
