In light of his upcoming blockbuster film 'Take Point' premiering in theaters this December 26, actor Ha Jung Woo held a roundtable interview to discuss his current works, as well as upcoming works in 2019.
During the interview, Ha Jung Woo was asked if he's willing to work on any romance genres. The actor replied, "I'm extremely interested in doing a romance production, but I have no idea why all of the latest movies these days or the productions I choose are all just the wrong type," causing laughter.
The actor added, "I've been filming with all men nonstop. I'll be heading into filming for 'Baekdu Mountain' soon, but even if Suzy were to be cast as the role of my wife, what's the point? We won't meet in the movie. All of my scenes will be with Lee Byung Hun hyung, from beginning til end. Filming different scenes take place separately. They are the people who are left behind in Seoul [in the movie], and I'm on the rescue team headed to Baekdu Mountain."
Ha Jung Woo continued by addressing some of his 2019 productions, saying, "My next film 'Boston 1947' is also a movie where I bring two men on a trip to Boston. It's a mess (sigh)." Some other films Ha Jung Woo will be working on in 2019, including 'Abduction' and 'Closet', are both movies centered around predominantly male characters. The actor bemoaned, "I want to film movies like 'Autumn in New York' or 'Love Affair'. I believe my last romance was in 'Assassination' (2015). I suppose there was some in 'The Handmaiden' (2016)..."
Finally, Ha Jung Woo coined that the reason he has not been able to work on any dramas lately is due to the fact that its difficult to coordinate drama schedules with movie schedules, and added with yet another sigh, "There have been so many gem-worthy dramas while I've been doing movies..."
Previously, it was reported that Suzy was recently offered the role of Ha Jung Woo's wife in 2019 film 'Baekdu Mountain'.
