Wanna One spoke up about the issues surrounding '1¹¹=1(POWER OF DESTINY).'
On November 19, Wanna One held a press conference for the new album at Conrad Seoul. At the event, the members commented on the leak of their new title song, "Spring Breeze," the plagiarism controversy on their comeback concept.
The teaser images for '1¹¹=1(POWER OF DESTINY)' was accused of copying the concept from 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch.'
Ong Seong Wu commented on the song being leaked, and said, "Our company is still looking into it and they're still in the process of finding a solution. The members don't know anything about the leak, to be honest."
Leader Yoon Ji Sung commented on the plagiarism controversy. He said, "Wanna One used the 'origin of love' as the motive when producing the concept photos. I think it'll be difficult to give a clear explanation of this because I think everyone has a different opinion and perspective on 'origin of love.' But we are apologetic for creating a displeasing incident and causing concerns to many."
