Rookie group Newkidd have donated the fee from their very first performance to charity in the spirit of the holidays.
On November 28, Newkidd's agency J-Flo Entertainment announced, "On the afternoon of the 28th, Newkidd plan to do volunteer work for coal briquettes in the neighborhood of Hyeonjeo, Seoul. In response to their desire to spend their first performance fee on good things, they donated their earnings from music show performances for their second preview album 'Boy Boy Boy' and started volunteering to share their coal briquettes of love."
Newkidd and their fans plan to deliver 800 coal briquettes to low-income families. Leader Jinkwon said, "We were thinking about what to do with our first performance fees, and we all thought about donating them. We had our first chance to appear on a music show before our official debut, so with the joy we decided to give coal briquettes because we wanted to use the money for good things and share it with our fans. We hope everyone has a warm winter."
Newkidd last promoted their title track "Shooting Star" this past July.

considering how much these idols have to pay back to their companies to debut, i can't help but wonder when i see something like this if it's the artist's decision or the company's decision to give positive media play.
