The CEO of M.Y. Music Entertainment shared how his artist Nine9 coped with the death of SHINee's Jonghyun.
On November 7, Star News released an interview with CEO Yoon Dong Hwan and several questions regarded his artist Nine9.
Nine9 is the close friend of Jonghyun who revealed his parting letter to the public following his suicide.
When asked how she is doing lately, CEO Yoon said, "Right now it's not to the point where it's as if nothing happened but she did get a lot better. At the time (of Jonghyun's death), she was very sensitive to the point where I had a dangerous concern about something happening to her. So Yi Rang, the bassist of Dear Cloud, was always with Nine9 the entire 24 hours a day. I was with her, and I called someone else to be with Nine9 if I had to go out and get something. It was dangerous to give her time alone. Nine9 herself said she also tried to overcome it."
The next question stated, "There was Dear Cloud concert scheduled at the time?" CEO Yoon replied, "Yes, at the time Nine9 believed she will be causing harm if she can't participate in the concert. It was actually fortunate that the concert was scheduled then. We talked about canceling but Nine9 said she thinks she will be in greater danger if she cancels the concert, and that it'll be hard for her to withstand if she doesn't do anything. She did end up crying during the performance but she successfully completed it. It's a good thing that she was able to complete it well like that. She didn't have much talking time at the concert. She only had simple greetings and just sang. The audience seemed to show understanding when she couldn't continue singing due to tears. At the time, Nine9 cried almost every day."
