Girl's Day's Yura said she was almost kicked out of her agency because she couldn't lose weight.
On the September 8th installment of 'Knowing Brothers', Yura opened up about a difficult time in her past, saying, "I was told to go back to my hometown of Ulsan if I can't lose weight. My height is 170cm (~5'7"), and at the time, I was 53kg (116lbs 13.5oz). My agency CEO said to lose it to 51kg (112lbs 7oz)."
She continued, "Because I didn't know if I could do it, I asked if I could lose it to 52kg instead. He usually doesn't get mad that often, but he said in a wild rage that if I don't lose it to 51kg, I should go back to Ulsan. I cried as I went back. It was after we had debuted with 'Twinkle Twinkle'. I was kicked out."
Yura said her parents made sure to be there for her, however, sharing, "My mom told me, 'I guess you should just gain weight whenever I miss my daughter.' I was able to go down to 51kg in 5 days."
