SBS has revealed the cause of death of the 'Still 17' staff member who passed on August 1.
Earlier reports speculated the staff member had died due to complications from working on filming for the drama in a heat wave. However, on August 3, SBS announced, "We've confirmed the cause of death for the production staff member was due to an endogenous cerebral hemorrhage. May he rest in peace." Endogenous brain hemorrhages are likely caused by an internal illness rather than from an external factor, such as extreme heat.
Following the staff member's unfortunate passing, the other staff of 'Still 17' sent in a Blue House petition, and the media labor union has asked the broadcast network to improve working conditions. 'Still 17' took a hiatus from filming on August 2 to pay respects to the deceased, and filming resumed on the 3rd.
