EXID's Hani opened up about her struggles.
On the August 31 airing of JTBC4's 'Secret Unnie', Hani and Weki Meki's Choi Yoo Jung had a sincere conversation on their girl group career.
Hani shared, "In the beginning, we made our debut but had a hiatus of 2 years. We didn't even have a practice room. We couldn't do anything for 2 years, and then we released 'Up & Down', thinking that this is our last but it also didn't do well... We were wondering if it's really time for us to quit but then we got lucky."
However, that all changed after this fan cam of Hani was released and instantly went viral. EXID became more well-known and Hani, in particular, became the new "it girl".
She continued, "Luck can go away instantly so I think I tried hard not to get used to it. And I also became worried about my members... Worried that they might feel left out. I was worried that they might feel that way but they were actually very welcoming."
Choi Yoo Jung teared up listening to Hani's story. In the interview with the producers, Choi Yoo Jung explained, "I could relate to her and draw the scenes in my head so I teared up without even knowing."
