Seventeen's Seungkwan and Mingyu revealed their debut stories.
On the July 19 airing of KBS2's 'Happy Together 3', the two idol stars shared how they got into their agency Pledis Entertainment.
Seungkwan first revealed, "I became a singer in a quite dramatic way. I lived on Jeju Island and I loved singing, so I went to a youth singing contest on Jeju Island." He continued, "My teacher at the time filmed a video and you couldn't see my face very well so I uploaded it on the internet. Then my current agency gave an audition offer."
Mingyu brought laughter as he commented, "I was already a trainee at the time. It was rumored that a trainee with the face of Psy and vocals of Park Hyo Shin is coming. On the day he was supposed to come, Seungkwan wasn't there but only his parent. But it turns out the (person who looked like his) parent was actually Seungkwan himself."
Mingyu then shared his own story, and said, "I made it with my visuals. I think I was chosen because our company needed a visual member at that point."
Seungkwan added, "Mingyu made (the auditions) by singing the national anthem. He couldn't dance or sing so they told him to at least try singing the national anthem and he made it."
