A man has been arrested for stealing and dangerously driving off in an ambulance.
According to the Cheonan Dongnam Police Station on May 8, around 5:30 pm, a 20-year-old man drove off in a stolen ambulance.
He drove the vehicle to a location about 2.2km (1.37 mi) away from the hospital. During the drive, the man drove over two female high school students. Luckily, the students are suffering from just minor injuries. The man was ultimately arrested by the police who received reports about the danger.
The ambulance was parked with the engine on to transfer an elderly patient to the hospital. The man stole the vehicle while the paramedics rushed into the building to transfer the patient.
According to the police, "The man revealed to have received treatment for bipolar disorder in the past. The police are investigating the man to clarify the details of the accident."
