'The Dancer' is a dance variety show, where the idol stars learn new dance genres from choreographers overseas and create a choreography on their own. The self-created choreography will be given to another team to perform. Producer Kim Hak Joon of 'The Dancer' stated, "That team could be a K-Pop group or a popular international artist."

The key factor of the show is teamwork as Kim PD stated, "There were times when the members agreed and also times when they disagreed. The choreography by Eunhyuk, Taemin, and Kikwang resulting from this process will be impressive."

According to Kim PD, the idols took a shot at the girlish genre and wore heels to dance. Kim PD stated, "The members laughed and asked, 'I've never done something like this. Do we have to do this?' but boldly participated in the challenge."

Kim PD also added, "The three have promoted for a long time so they knew one another but never built a relationship. They've become very close while learning the dance together." He also hinted that other idol group members have made guest appearances on the show. 

The first episode of 'The Dancer' is set to air on May 5.
