Filming for new movie 'Swing Kids' starring EXO's D.O. and Park Hye Soo came to a wraps this past February 20 in Anseong, in the Gyeonggi province.
'Swing Kids' tells the story of a dance group that formed in the midst of the Korean War in 1951, among individuals at a prisoner of war acceptance station on the southern side. D.O, playing the role of a North Korean soldier and prisoner of war Ro Ki Soo, falls in love with tap dancing during his captivity, joining the 'Swing Kids'.
The film is directed by Kang Hyung Chul, known for 'Speed Scandal' and 'Sunny'. Female lead Park Hye Soo will take on the role of a translator named Yang Pan Rae in the dance group, able to communicate in Korean, English, and Chinese.
After wrapping up 4 months of filming, tap dance practice, and more, D.O, Park Hye Soo, and the rest of the cast thanked the project, hoping to meet up again soon. Once production is completed, 'Swing Kids' will premiere in theaters in the latter half of 2018.
