Song Seung Hwan, the overseeing director for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics closing ceremony, revealed, "The running time for the closing ceremony was 2 hours. We had to consider the official events such as the Olympic Flag ceremony and the award ceremony, as well as the TV broadcast time, so it was hard to have too many K-pop stars. We did want to bring more teams, but a lot of them were cancelled because of the stars' schedules. Psy is one of them, and BTS is another. We actually tried to book BTS early last year. However, they had so many overseas schedules, and it was possible that they would be overseas during the Olympics, so we couldn't get them scheduled."
Would you like to have seen Psy and BTS at the closing ceremonies as well?
