Wanna One may be extending their contract through February of 2019.
Originally, the boys' contracts last until the end of the year in December, 2018. However, some of the boys' individual labels suggested that the group remain intact until February, 2019 because award ceremonies last until February, and they believed Wanna One should attend those as a group together.
Each label will have to decide for themselves and the February extension may throw off some debuts, as many labels are planning on debuting new groups around their Wanna One members. Minhyun and Sungwoon's return to NU'EST and HOTSHOT is also a factor to consider. However, while nothing has been confirmed, the situation seems optimistic that the contract will indeed be extended to February 2019.
