It's a fact with no doubt that Han Hyun Min has become one of the most influential and popular models in Korea. However, his road to debut was not easy. Han Hyun Min explained, "It was a lot harder than I thought. I was scammed a lot, too. And I was teased a lot because of my different skin color."
He continued, "If you're caucasian mixed then people go 'Woah', but if you're black mixed, people say, 'You must've had it hard...' I used to get teased for no reason and that was the most difficult."
Han Hyun Min explained he was able to overcome the racism thanks to his supportive parents. He said, "Whenever I was struggling, my parents would tell me that I'm special and something good will eventually happen. Those words were a great encouragement."
Lastly, Han Hyun Min added, "I think the perspective in the fashion industry has changed a bit compared to when I first debuted. And through me, I hope the stereotypes, not just in the fashion industry but Korean society as a whole, will disappear."
He also shared his dreams, stating, "We can't have some people in sadness and only some others in happiness. We can all be happy together. I hope everyone can become happy."
