YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk attended the event and commented, "YG will be involved in the production process. That's what makes 'Mix Nine' stand out from the other programs."
He added, "I am incharge of producing the series as Teddy wrote the theme song. Taeyang and CL wanted to come but couldn't make it today due to their conflicting schedules. Also, G-Dragoncouldn't participate early on because of his world tour but we're thinking if he could possibly appear in the latter half of the series."

Yang Hyun Suk explained, "I thought about what it would be like for other popular artists to blend in with YG's music style. I hope this idea I've conjured up for the past ten years would finally come to life through 'Mix Nine.'"
Meanwhile, the new program is set to air its first episode on October 29.
