According to Nanoom Lotto on October 19, a winner who recently won the jackpot, said in an interview that he frequently purchased lottery tickets online and found out he won through a text message. The winner also revealed, "I had a dream where I was on a date with Irene. It was so real", and claimed the reason he won was due to the idol's appearance in his dreams.
The winner further explained that he immediately purchased lottery tickets after having the dream. He'll now be paid 5,000,000 KRW (4,413 USD) per month for the next 20 years.

This is not the first time a lottery winner has claimed a dream about an idol led to their win. Back in August 2016, a winner who won both the 1st and 2nd place prize at once revealed he had dreams about Suzy prior to winning.
