The president was summoned by the labor union three times to participate in questioning dealing with alleged unfair practices within MBC, but refused to attend all three times. While prosecution has revealed little information about the arrest warrant and case, the National Media Labor Union has announced that they will adjust plans to continue their strike against MBC management.
The arrest warrant is currently active for 7 days. Meanwhile, the warrant has also struck up debate between political parties in Korea about freedom of press, as well as the press's responsibility to the law.
