On September 12, photos were posted on an online community board of 2PM's Taecyeon in the military as he recently enlisted on September 4.
The images featured the idol star emitting a manly posture dressed in his army uniform. He is currently participating in boot camp at the 9th Division of the army at Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

Holding an American residency status, Taecyeon decided to give up his permanent residency in 2010 to be able to serve in the ROK army, despite being exempt from military service. He even received treatment for his spinal disc issue just so he can serve as an active duty soldier.
Last November, he told SBS News, "I thought about enlisting in the army after seeing the tension between North and South Koreas," demonstrating his passion for his homeland.
