Lee Joon took to his Instagram to update fans about his situation after a powerful, magnitude 8.1 earthquake off the coast of Chiapas State in Mexico.
The idol-turned-actor arrived in Mexico on September 6 in order to prepare for his Mexico fan meeting, scheduled for September 8. The earthquake struck on the evening of September 7, and afterward, fans flocked to Lee Joon's SNS, worried for his safety.
Lee Joon told fans, "This is Mexico. I'm writing because many people seem worried. After feeling the earthquake, the staff members and I all evacuated, and we are now safe and secure. The number 8.0 is a little scary, but because the hotel staff protected us well, we are now okay! Please pray for the safety of everyone in Mexico."
