On August 16, the press conference for Taeyang's 3rd solo album 'White Night' took place in D Museum in Seoul. At the event, Taeyang spoke about T.O.P, who recently was stirred up in a marijuana scandal.
Taeyang stated, "As a fellow member and a friend, I think it's the most encouraging to be there for him at times like this. He is already well aware of what he has done so I just want to give encouragement to my friend and colleague who's going through the toughest time instead of trying to provide advice."

He continued, "So I reached out to him more often and visited him. I tried to be there for him during his difficult times. I listened to his opinion and emotions and talked with him. We actually didn't have heavy conversations but just the talk about little things. I think that is more helpful and empowering for hyung."
T.O.P is no longer able to serve as a conscripted policeman due to his scandal. Meanwhile, Taeyang made a comeback and dropped MVs for ''Darling'' and ''Wake Up'' on August 16.
