SM Entertainment is currently discussing contract renewals with Girls' Generation, who recently celebrated their 10th anniversary since their debut with the album 'Holiday Night'.
On August 16, reports stated the Girls' Generation members were in talks with the agency about renegotiation as their exclusive contracts recently came to an end. SME confirmed the news, announcing, "It's true we're currently renewing our contracts with the Girls' Generation members. Most of the members have already renewed their contracts, and we're in talks with the remaining members."
One insider also told media outlets, "Though we're still not sure if there will be any change, it seems as if they'll stay together as they've been doing well as a group for the past 10 years."
