Jin Ah Reum debuted as a model in 2008, before shifting her focus toward acting in 2010. When a question arose regarding her boyfriend and actor Nam Goong Min, her eyes grew wide as she smiled shyly, "We're doing quite well." When asked what attracted her about him, Jin Ah Reum responded, "I was drawn to his gentle and warm characteristics; he didn't seem like a celebrity. He is someone I can learn a lot from and also work together to fill in what we each lack."
Onto body image, Jin Ah Reum mentioned models Han Hye Jin and Jang Yoon Joo, praising them for their stunning bodies. She also shared some tips on taking care of herself. "I do about 100 squats per day... I also avoid drinking coffee or carbonated beverages and don't snack late at night."
She also mentioned, "I believe a model's natural appearance is the most beautiful."
