Lee Hyori and IU shared their deep feelings as singers with each other on 'Hyori's Bed & Breakfast' this week.
Lee Hyori spoke while driving, "You know that person who came from my company earlier? We were talking about me going on variety shows and out of nowhere a wave of fear just came over me (this was before she released her album)." IU sympathized with her by saying, "I know exactly what you mean."
Lee Hyori continued, "When you're trembling, there has to be a thing that you can depend on. For me, they are yoga, cars, and my husband. Honestly, I made enough money throughout my career and I had the feeling of finishing my career at my peak with that top star image. But I realized that showing the public that I'm slowly coming down is way harder than leaving at the highest point of my career."
She explained, "If I had left at the top of my career, it would've been easier and more comforting as opposed to slowly getting older and being replaced by younger groups...my heart wasn't ready to accept that. Even now, I can't say I completely embraced the idea. However, right now, I'm happy about the fact that I can continue to do what I love and create music. It might be a little difficult for you as well if that time comes so you need to think of a plan or process for that moment."
IU responded, "For me, I think I'm getting through each day just thinking about that point. I know it's important to enjoy each moment right now but because I keep thinking 'the next one isn't going to do well', I don't think I had much time to be happy."
