It was recently announced that future funk/vaporwave artist Night Tempo would be starting a series of collaborations, including a song with Korean indie darling Neon Bunny. Night Tempo made the announcement via his Facebook page and included a photo with Neon Bunny to drive the point home.
For those who aren't familiar, Night Tempo makes music in the future funk and vaporwave genres, which are driven by the creative sampling of old-school material. Most of his music is upbeat and features heavy use of slap bass and filtered drums, so it's sure to make for an interesting backdrop for the typically reserved Neon Bunny.
Neon Bunny, on the other hand, has been covered in several previous allkpop articles and has made a name for herself in the independent music scene in Korea through her EPs and soundtrack work. Her recent song "Forest of Skyscrapers," which is inspired by Wong Kar Wai films, can be heard below.
I can't wait to hear what they have in store for us.
