Dara talked about the struggles following 2NE1's disbandment.�
On the August 18 airing of MBC's 'Insolent Housemate', Dara opened up about her concerns and stated, "I was worried about whether I should do what people want me to do or do the things that suit me best."

She continued, "I felt very lost after the group disbanded. I did things that people thought would go along well with me instead of the things that I wanted to do. And I wasn't happy as I was in the past. So now I'm going to do the things that I want to do before it's too late. I might not be able to do things if I get older so I want to try a lot of things now."
