Roy Kim makes a surprise charity donation for Children's Day

On May 4, a representative from the charity institute wrote a message thanking the singer via Instagram, "Roy Kim expressed his warm gratitude for Children's Day. We thank him so much for his generosity."

Upon hearing this, Roy Kim responded, "I made a charity donation in celebrating Children's Day hoping the funds would be used towards purchasing summer clothes and snacks for the children. I feel bashful since it became known to the public."

It is not the first time the 'SuperStar K' winner has participated in charitable donations. In 2012, he donated some of his prize money to approximately 20 charity institutes such as the children's cancer research center and also for animal cruelty prevention.

Roy Kim is currently preparing for his comeback on May 16.
