The novelist met Yesung at a performance the idol held in Nagoya last year, and Yesung suggested the collaboration, to which Ry? Murakami agreed to. This will be the first time the renowned novelist will be collaborating with a foreign artist.

Ry? Murakami said about collaborating with Yesung, "It's because I was captivated by Yesung's voice and vocal range. I think that Yesung's voice, which is slightly husky and leaves a resonance, is bright and a voice that is not common."

"Can't Say I Love You" is set for release in Japan on June 28, and also contains the lyrics "I Love You" in Korean.
