Netizens react to the price of a microphone gifted by IU to a dear fan

Netizens have recently been buzzing about the price of a special microphone singer IU had gifted to a fan who has dreams of becoming a singer.


Broadcasted on April 29, Dingo Channel presented footage of the idol star meeting with a fan named�Yoo Rim who is passionate about singing.

IU then gifted the girl a headphone and an expensive looking studio microphone from Audio-Technica.


Seeing this, netizens scrambled to look up the price online. �It seems even with a discount coupon, the microphone costs around 3 million KRW (approximately $2,700).


Netizens commented, "Even IU who went through hardships, took the time to gift Ms. Yoo Rim with something she truly needed," "A lot of thought and effort has been put into this."


After the broadcast, IU sent a handwritten letter as well as a�gift card�to Yoo Rim�and has been keeping in touch with her.
